ThinkPlace provides the setting to make the times when people meet and talk more effective. Highly skilled facilitators, processes drawn from strategy and design theory, well crafted documents, careful attention to detail and great facilities ensure clients get results. • Providing the place for people to think. We have a venue at Yarralumla. Our venue is a place that is different from most venues. It is specifically set up for strategy and design work.

Our clients are mainly large government agencies including the Australian Taxation Office, Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Office of Transport and Security, Medicare and New Zealand Internal Revenue. We also do work for smaller Government agencies, the private sector and not for profit organisations. We are often called on to assist regulatory agencies with compliance approaches.

You have a Government new policy to implement. There are many players involved- the Government, policy advisors, legislative drafters, software developers, trainers, marketers, business process designers not to mention those affected, namely people and businesses in the community and staff.
The key challenge is how to get the Government’s intent delivered in a way that gives a good experience for the community and staff.

At ThinkPlace we work with you through a tested process to do just that- to develop a design that delivers on the intent in a way that makes it as easy as possible for the community and staff.
Type of services provided in the past 12 months:

• Developed a set of plans for a Regulatory agency including a philosophy plan, design and product development.
• Developed  a strategic plan, regional office plan and functional division plan for a medium sized engineering enterprise over a 2-3 month elapsed period using a collaborative process of workshops and progressive plan development.
• Facilitated several leadership conferences for Executive teams to develop strategy and get alignment and commitment from the leadership team.
• Facilitated a strategic intelligence workshop, looking at futuring and the relevance of emerging trends for the organisation.
• Developed a strategic plan to address and develop a whole government approach. The process comprised multiple workshops with stakeholders from various agencies.
• Developed user pathways and  plans for a new Government initiative affecting a broad cross section of the community.
